About Medelpad's Northern Parish

Medelpad's Northern Parish was established at the turn of 2024/2025 and includes the congregations of Alnö, Indal, Holm, Liden, Sättna, Skön, Timrå, Hässjö, Ljustorp, and Tynderö. Through collaboration, we aim to strengthen and support the long-term work in our congregations so that the church can continue to be a present and relevant force in people's daily lives.

The parish has a shared office that gathers expertise in administration, finance, HR, communication, property, and cemetery management. The office serves as support for the local congregations' activities within worship, education, diaconia, and mission.

Together, we are building an organization where tradition and renewal go hand in hand.

About the Position

As a parish educator in Sköns Congregation, you play a key role in inspiring, supporting, and creating space for participation in the life of the congregation. In close collaboration with priests, deacons, musicians, and colleagues in educational work, you will shape an activity where community, faith, and care can grow. You will meet people of various ages and life situations, with a particular focus on children, youth, and families.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and follow up on educational activities.
• Participate in worship services and other gatherings focusing on participation and learning.
• Create safe and inclusive environments.
• Develop educational work in collaboration with colleagues in the congregation and parish.
• Contribute to the congregation's communal life and development.

We are looking for someone who

• Is a parish educator or has another educational qualification or equivalent experience.
• Has a connection to the church or congregational life or a desire to deepen their understanding of it.
• Is confident in themselves and has an easy time building trusting relationships.
• Can work both independently and in a team.
• Is structured, creative, and flexible.
• Has the courage to try new things and a desire to develop the work together with others.
• Has an interest in worship life and issues related to faith, life, and community.
